stoneandsteel > The elusive east side Cascade ultra runner known as Cougarbait. Spotted in native habitat near Sisters, Oregon. I left my car at his house.
stoneandsteel > "Bandanas, buck a piece." Drop off man Sam B. shows the freshly groomed trail at Crescent Lake is plenty supportable. Sam left me in Ashland. He takes some of the most amazing Oregon photos you will ever see. http://flickr.com/photos/twilight
stoneandsteel > In nordic skiing fashion, corduroy is still very much the rage.
stoneandsteel > Newly groomed trail at Crescent Lake. Can the trail possibly be this good the whole way? Of course not.
stoneandsteel > The amount of stuff I tried to take on self-supported first attempt. A lot of it ended up getting cut. The wasabi peas and cocoa almonds stayed.
stoneandsteel > Packing up at Hyatt Lake trailhead off Route 66, east of Ashland, on day 1 of first attempt.
stoneandsteel > There's no way it's all going to fit...
stoneandsteel > All that's left of the last guy who tried to ski across Oregon back during the Cold War.
